Here in the UK, we use an average of 150 litres of water per person every day. This usage is at an unsustainable level, and contributes to the increasing water stress experienced by regions
of the UK and other parts of the world.
Reducing water wastage is not an option – it’s a necessity.
There are some obvious steps we can all take to reduce our water usage; turn on taps and showers only when you are ready to use them and turn off the water whilst brushing your teeth. Fitting a flow regulator to taps and showers reduces water usage and can also help lower energy consumption by limiting the amount of water that’s heated.
Water efficiency in building projects is more important than ever before due to updated Part G of the building regulations, which took effect in April 2010. This, in addition to the Code for Sustainable Homes, makes the requirement to build with sustainability in mind paramount.
Look out for the Enviro-wiseTM symbol, it indicates products which have been designed to enable you to save water and energy.

With an ageing population and some 10% of the population registered disabled, we understand the importance of developing new products which factor in the special needs of these groups and which optimise safety and ease of use.
We offer a range of taps and showers with features such as lever handles or sensor operation to optimise ease of use and enable daily tasks to be undertaken as safely as possible.
In addition to ease of use, safety is paramount. Hot water can cause a serious scald injury within a matter of seconds, it is the second most common cause of scald injuries and children under the age of 5, the physically impaired, and adults over the age of 65 are amongst those at highest risk.
We offer a number of products aimed at minimising the risk of scalding. The thermostatic control facility of these products ensures that water temperature does not exceed the pre-set maximum.
Look for these symbols identifying those products which make life easier, feature thermostatic control and those which have been tested to TMV2 or TMV3 Buildcert thermostatic standards. See page 13 for more details on thermostatic.
